Education and Scholarship Committee

The Scholarship Committee shall be responsible for the supervision of the NCOMS Scholarship Program.

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee shall be responsible for investigating, and informing membership of, any current state or national legislative issues that have the potential to affect the professional or business interests of members of the Corporation.  The Committee will share this information with members of the Corporation at annual meetings, and during the year via email as needed.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee shall be responsible for sending welcome packets to new members when new members join the Corporation.  The Committee may also assist in sending correspondence to membership to aid with personal relations as needed.  The Committee shall give updates on membership numbers at annual meetings.

Patient Advocacy Committee

The Patient Advocacy Committee shall be responsible for investigating, and for informing the members of the Corporation regarding, any current issues relating to oncology patients that have the potential to affect the professional or business interests of members of the Corporation.

Programs Committee

The Program Committee shall work with the President and/or President Elect to research and secure speakers for meeting presentations.  The Committee shall also assist in being the point of contact for such speakers before and during presentations as needed.

Reimbursement Committee

The Coding and Reimbursement Committee shall investigate changes, rules and guidelines regarding coding and reimbursement that may affect the professional or business interests of members of the Corporation.  The Committee will share this information with members of the Corporation at annual meetings, and during the year via email as needed.

Website Committee

The Website Committee shall oversee and maintain the www.ncoms.org website.  Such duties shall include maintaining the current membership and Board of Directors listing, updating meeting information, and providing such current news and information relevant to membership as is deemed appropriate by the Committee and the Board of Directors.

Vendor Advisory Committee (VAC)

Our VAC assists in helping us gain access to current issues relating to oncology; and create an open dialogue for getting those issues at the forefront for discussion, investigation, education and dissemination. This committee is our sounding board for suggestions and feedback from our corporate supporters, sponsors and exhibitors.
